Patti Smith – Horses revisited

Bands, Cat Covers, Cats, Cats!, Illustrations

I went to Field Day festival at the weekend, and no question, Patti Smith won the day for being the most pro and warm performer. Although it’s not my usual musical cup of tunes, by the time she launched into Dancing Barefoot, I was shaking that booty like the best of them. Massive respect for this grande dame of music.

So when my friend Maïté suggested doing a cat cover, I knew she was right – too many things lend themselves too well here, from Patti to Kitti, and Horses easily becoming cats (to each their drug, I sure got mine, and it’s of the furry kind).

Here’s the original…
More Cat covers for you to peruse… These are available as prints in my Etsy shop Karuski Colours.

Thinking of making them into T shirts – what do you think?

Karuski is the nom de pencil for me, Katherine Mengardon - I am a fan of all things 1960s, CAKES, obscure indie pop bands, children illustrations, bad puns and cats. Any spare time goes towards baking mad cakes, drawing families and catified musicians.
